A surprise for a friend who always makes me smile.
Entirely digital. I lost track of how much time, as it was broken up into several blocks over several days. I needed a sample of an 8x10 panel, and Bear got picked, since I learned that the USPS thwarted my attempts at holiday greetings to him.
The background on this one is really great, and I love the feeling of motion you got in here even with the stylized stained glass. It's all, "mmmmm bamboo! nom, nom, nom!"
You may have answered this before someplace else, but have you considered doing actual stained-glass work - or have you done it before, even? Your designs deserve to be cut and soldered and hung in people's windows.
Oh, it's not that I don't WANT to ... I just don't have the place for it right now (or the $$ either, currently). I want to eventually. I've only actually done one little one, in a workshop when I was visiting *Dreamspirit a couple of years ago. I helped her out with her hawk design (and we both learned about where not to make lines meet!), but mine I never have photographed and put it here, it's just a wee little thing.
So meanwhile I do it digitally. At least this way I'll have no shortage of designs when I am able to do the real thing!
